Seek the game :)Hunting near Segozero holiday village is traditional for the region of Central Karelia.

Terms of shooting chaseable game animals and fowl are established annually by the hunting and fishing society of Karelia and the Department for Preservation, Supervision and Management of Game Animals of Karelia, and vary slightly on the eve of every hunting season.

Close to the base there are wood grouse and heath-cock mating places; duck shooting is also interesting.

Objects of hunting in Medvezhiegorsk region are elks, bears, hares, wood-grouses, blackcocks, hazel grouses, ducks, and woodcocks.

We kindly ask our guests going hunting to provide the necessary information,
such as the date of arrival, hunting ticket details, the game they intend to hunt in advance.

Types and terms of hunting

Brown bear: mid-April - mid-May.

Brown bear in autumn: end of August - December.

Elk: September - December.

Wood-grouses, blackcocks, hazel grouses: from May, 1 to May 10, and from the third Saturday of August to February.

Ducks, woodcocks: from May, 1 to May 10, and from the third Saturday of November to November.

Exact terms of the resolved hunting for each species
are published 10 days before the opening of the season.
